Building/Zoning Permits

To file for a Building Permit, you may come to the Township Municipal Office Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If you are unable to come during those hours, an appointment will be scheduled at your convenience.
You may also download the permit application here and bring the completed form to the Township office with the $100.00 permit fee. Checks should be made payable to Hopewell Township.
You do not need a permit to hold a yard sale, however a permit is required for the following:
Sheds (this includes prefab sheds, delivered & set-up as well as stick built).
Swimming pools - both in ground and above ground styles - fence may also be required.
Additions of any kind which you would like to add to your residence. This includes finishing off a basement.
New & replacement wells
New & resurfacing of driveways
Also, decks, patios, sunrooms, interior remodeling, garages, fences, home occupations and signs require a permit.
A Zoning Permit is required for Change of Use of a property.
