       Trash Contract

 

As of January 1, 2012 we have a new trash/recycling contract  with Penn Waste Inc. 

Recycling is now on Fridays!! 

Please secure your trash and recycling so that it does not blow onto your neighbor's lawn.

The red recycling bins are available for pick up at the Township Office Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 4PM. You may have as many as you need free of charge.  96-gal. mobile carts are available for $9.00/Quarter. Only Penn Waste 96 gal. Mobile Carts will be serviced. To order a 96-gallon cart, call Penn Waste Inc. (717)767-4456.

Motor oil

Used motor oil can be dropped off at Elite Auto Works, 3340 Bridgeview Road (next to the township building) or at Wal-Mart's Automotive Dept.

CFL bulbs

Home Depot accepts CFL's. Take them to the “Returns Desk”.  

Propane Tanks

Shrewsbury True Value accepts old propane tanks. Place them on the wood pallet next to the tanks.

 Electronics Recycling

Hopewell Township  accepts discarded electronics for recycling.  This service is for residents only . You can drop off these items Monday thru Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM.  Please call ahead if you will need assistance unloading any of the items.

Televisions
Monitors
Computers, and Peripherals - mainframes, desk top computers, uninterruptible power supplies, power cords, key boards, mouses, hard drives, modems and batteries
Stereo Equipment - disc players, radios, tape players, VCR'S
Fax/Copier Equipment - duplicators, printers
Misc. Computer Equipment, hard drives, modems
Other - answering machines, telephone equipment, cell phones, gaming products, remote controls, microwave ovens, testing equipment, transparency equipment, printed circuit boards, electric typewriters and laptops, cameras and blood sugar monitors, paper shredders

 

Not accepted:

Electric equipment (such as toasters, hair dryers, wall clocks, or electric razors) OR construction demolition debris, furniture, appliances, white goods, or household hazardous waste.
